Late Shri V K Jain
I have always wanted us to be the best and nothing but that…. Such were the words of our Founder Director, Late Shri V K Jain.
It was he along with our other 2 Founder Directors, Late Sh PK Salhotra and Mr. Mohit Oswal, who laid the foundation stone of Roop Automotives Limited.
Initially being part of Roop Rubber Mills Pvt Ltd (Now Roop Polymers Group of companies), Jain Sa’ab (as he was fondly called by everyone) always dreamt of starting from the scratch, which resulted in the formation of Roop Auto.
His liasoning skills in Public Administration and Banks were an asset to the company, something that people still remember him by other than his benevolent nature. He was a man of good character who believed in giving it back to the community. Taking this forward, the company dedicated its first CSR initiative in the Roz Ka Meo region as “V K Jain Memorial Computer Centre.” This was just the beginning of the company’s CSR initiatives.
The company also runs Roop VK Jain Foundation; our CSR arm is involved in Education, community development and the environment. Mr. Jain’s spirit, soul and hard work have been part of Roop Auto’s DNA and will live forever in the hearts of everyone who has ever been associated with the company.

Late Shri P K Salhotra
Late Shri PK Salhotra was an engineer by profession and had more than 45 years of experience in the auto and auto component industry. Prior to founding Roop Automotives Limited, Mr. Salhotra had worked with Hero Honda Motors Limited, Gabriel India and Escorts Limited, hence brought a vast and enriched experience in production, process design & development, material management and quality control.
His core areas at Roop Automotives Limited were Production, Quality Assurance and Product engineering.
He was instrumental in the successful establishment of our R&D centre which has been recognised by the Govt. of India.
He firmly believed that Engineers are the backbone of any economy as they have tremendous power and capability to shape organisations worldwide which in turn run countries.
He was passionate about technology and always keen to learn about new trends and processes. He liked his free time reading articles and journals on new technology trends.
He also believed that learning can never stop and hence encouraged everyone to focus on Continual Improvement and self-betterment.
Management Team
Our core management team comprises of highly qualified professionals, who have years of experience in their respective fields. The management team has worked as a motivating force for all the employees contributing to the overall growth of the company.

Mr. Mohit Oswal
Mohit Oswal has an extensive experience of more than 29 years in the auto component industry. He has an MBA degree in Finance from Jammu University.
Mr. Oswal’s core competencies at Roop Automotive lies in Strategic Planning, International Business, Corporate Finance and Cost Control. More than anything else, Mr Oswal has always had a finger on gauging the pulse of auto industry and how it will impact Roop Auto. It is this foresighted nature that ensures Roop Auto stands apart from its competition and is preferred by all its customers.
He is a leader who believes in data based and fact driven decisions. He has been solely instrumental in developing a Scientific and data driven culture at Roop Auto.
He is an astute reader and observer at heart, he is also a Workaholic.
He loves technology, buying new gadgets and likes to listen to old Hindi music in his free time.
Mr. Gaurav Jain

Mr. Gaurav Jain
Gaurav Jain, holds an MBA degree in International marketing from Griffith University, Australia and has experience of over 17 years. He is a 3rd Generation entrepreneur and is the son of our Founder Director late Sh V. K Jain.
Prior to joining Roop Auto, he has worked for Daimler Chrysler AG in Corporate Strategy and Planning.
His areas of work at Roop Auto include Human Resources, Personnel & Administration and Corporate Communication.
Corporate Social Responsibility is very close to his heart and for that Mr. Jain also heads the CSR arm of the company called Roop VK Jain Foundation.
People development and human connections are most important to him and he believes that relationships are pivotal in the growth of successful organisations. Diversity & Inclusion is an area he wants to grow in Roop Auto.
He is passionate about reading, is a fitness enthusiast and likes to cook.

Our board of directors are responsible for redefining strategic direction, providing leadership and ensuring organizational performance on a macro level. The board consists of members from as diverse fields as marketing to charted accountancy. Every member has a specialization in their respective field and are well acquainted with the changing requirements of the International market.

Dr. Prem Kumar, aged 68 years has also joined the Board of Directors of our Company Roop Automotives Ltd. on February 10, 2008. He is a Non-executive Independent Director of the Company. He is also a Member of the Audit Committee, Nomination and Remuneration Committee and Corporate Social Responsibility Committee of the Company.
Dr. Prem Kumar holds Master’s in Economics, M.Phil and Ph.D. in management. He has attended faculty development programs/management development programs conducted by the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, IIM-Calcutta, XLRI and Harvard Business School.
Dr. Kumar’s career spans over 35 years as Vice President (Strategic Planning) and later Advisor Strategic Planning with Vardhman Group. His other industrial assignment includes stints as Marketing executive at Jenson and Nicholson (I) Ltd and Shaw Wallace and Co. Ltd. He has been Vice-Chancellor, GNA University, Punjab, BML Munjal University, Gurgaon and Bahra University, Shimla; has served as faculty at University Business School. Panjab University, Chandigarh, Punjab School of Management Studies, Punjabi University, Patiala and Department of Business Management, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar in the area of Strategic Management.
Dr. Kumar is widely traveled and has made presentations on various aspects of management including Strategic Management, Knowledge and Innovation Management, Manufacturing Excellence, etc. at various National and International Forums.

Mr. P. B. Menon, aged 77 years has joined the Board of Directors of our Company Roop Automotives Ltd. on February 10, 2008. He is a Non-executive Independent Director of the Company. He is also a Member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee of the Company.
He holds B.Sc. (Engg.) and M.E. (Mech) and he has vast experience and expertise in the field of the Automobile Industries. Mr. Menon’s career spans over 45 years in various automobile companies namely Hindustan Motors, Mopeds India Ltd, Hero Honda Motors Ltd. and Bajaj Auto Ltd. He served these companies in the capacity of Engineering head, R&D Head and Plant head. He is instrumental in translating Japanese Production technologies and methods to the Indian shop floor.

Mr. Amarjit Chopra
Mr. Amarjit Chopra, aged 69 years has been appointed the first Non-executive Director of the Company by including his name in the list of First Directors in the Articles of Association of the Company at the time of incorporation of the Company. On August 10, 2007, he has resigned from the office of the Director. Again, he has joined the Board of Directors of our Company Roop Automotives Ltd. on February 15, 2008. He is a Non-executive Director of the Company. He is also a Member of the Audit Committee of the Company.
Mr. Amarjit Chopra holds M.Com. and is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Mr. Chopra has a vast experience of 30 years in the field of Accounting, Auditing, Taxation, Corporate Laws and Finance. He possesses good knowledge and has rich experience in the field of Accountancy and Finance. He served as a Director of Bank of Baroda from October 13, 2006 to October 13, 2009. He has President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India during 2010-11 period. He has also served as Central Council Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Mr. Sudhir Chopra
Mr. Sudhir Chopra, aged 63 years has joined the Board of Directors of Roop Automotives Ltd. on August 10, 1995. He is a Non-executive Director of the Company.
Mr. Sudhir Chopra holds Fellow Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and a Law Graduate. He is serving as Whole-time Director on the Board of JTEKT India Ltd. (formerly known as Sona Koyo Steering Systems Ltd.).
Mr. Chopra joined JTEKT India (Then Sona Koyo Steering Systems Limited) in 1993 as a Company Secretary and thereon went on to be elevated to the Board. He has played a key role in setting up various joint ventures as well as handled foreign acquisitions. He possesses rich experience in the field of corporate restructurings, besides managing the functions of finance, tax and commercial disciplines at the Corporate level.
Mr. Chopra’s career spans over 38 years in various Corporate disciplines across diverse companies namely, Samtel India Limited, Clutch Auto Limited and Kelvinator India Limited (now known as ‘Whirlpool India Limited’). He has also been on the Boards of various prestigious companies including being a member of the Supervisory Board of BLW Präzisionsschmiede GmbH, Germany from 2008 to 2015.
Ms. Anandi Iyer

Ms. Anandi Iyer
Anandi Iyer is the Head of the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft, India Office since the last 11 years. She has more than 20 years of professional experience, playing a leading role in organizations such as the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the German Agency of International Cooperation(GiZ), and the Federal Government for Education and Research (BMBF). Under her leadership, Fraunhofer has generated more than Euros 20 Million in contract research from India in the last 5 years.
Mrs. Iyer is a member of several Hi-Level Expert committees with CII, FICCI and the German Government. She was the Founder- Chairperson of the European Business Group Bangalore Chapter for over 9 years and a National Council member of the Country Council of the EBG.
Ms. Iyer is an MBA from Strathclyde Graduate Business School, the UK specializing in Strategy and Business Communication, and has Masters in the German Language. She is pursuing her Ph.D. from the University of Leipzig in Innovation Systems. Ms. Iyer has won awards on leadership and excellence, including the Outstanding Woman Achiever Award 2013 by ISBR School of Management and Public Relations Council of India and the 51 Most Innovative Smart Cities Global Leaders by the World CSR Congress in January 2019.
She is a music lover, trekking and car rallying enthusiast and a committed community service volunteer.

Mr. Pradip Vasant Dubhashi, aged 73 years has also joined the Board of Directors of our Company Roop Automotives Ltd. on December 28, 2012. He was the Non-executive Director of the Company. He was retired by rotation at the 26th Annual General Meeting held on August 08, 2016. Mr. Dubhashi was again appointed as Non-executive Independent Director of the Company at the Extra-ordinary General Meeting held on October 10, 2016. He is also a Member of the Audit Committee and Corporate Social Responsibility Committee of the Company.
Mr. Pradip Vasant Dubhashi holds a degree in Engineering and have vast experience and expertise in the field of automobile industries for more than 35 years.
Mr. T. S. Anantakrishnan

Mr. T. S. Anantakrishnan
Mr. T.S. Anantakrishnan, aged 48 years has joined the Board of Directors of our Company Roop Automotives Ltd. on December 12, 2013. He is a Non-executive Director of the Company. He is also a Member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee of the Company.
Mr. T. S. Anantakrishnan holds a degree of Bachelors in Technology from IIT Roorkee and an MBA Finance (NYU, Stern). He is a qualified CFA and Financial Risk Manager (FRM) USA and has over 22 years of experience in portfolio and risk management. He specializes in portfolio construction and allocation, risk management and hedge fund (long-short) investments management. His work experience spans across organisations like Prime Securities, Goldman Sachs, NY, USA, Shumway Capital, USA and Bloomberg. Anant regularly presents his views on various business channels and forums on investments in Indian markets.
