Good Health and Well-being- SDG 3

Roop has been always on the forefront to help in humanitarian crisis caused by floods, earthquakes, or other natural calamities anywhere in the country. The ongoing pandemic Covid-19 has been once in a century kind of an event which has impacted every country and every person on the globe. India has been no exception to the impact caused by the pandemic.

Sensing the situation Roop through its CSR arm, Roop VK Jain Foundation took necessary steps to tackle this worsening situation that are.

• Proposed Rs.5 Lac donation towards COVID Relief to CII and ACMA
• Daily 3-time meals were delivered to SVSU covid care center for the hospital staff and patients for a month.
• Contributed at SVSU covid care center towards ambulance with 2 drivers and consumables that includes PPE kits, toiletries, stationary etc.
• 10 full size oxygen cylinders were provided to SVSU Covid Care Centre.
• Other necessary infrastructure support to PHCs and CHCs at Tauru, Sohna, Nuh.

Education for All- SDG 4

Under our education initiative, Roop started with its own flagship “School Support Program” through which we support the holistic development of the school and the children. Under this program, we upgrade and develop basic necessary infrastructure of the school such as functional toilets, drinking water facilities, desks for students and computer laboratories etc. to make the school more appealing to the students and the parents alike. Further, we work with the school administration including the headmaster, teachers, School Management Committee and government education department to ensure smooth development of the school. We also build capacity of the teachers and headmasters through specialized trainings in pedagogy, leadership and use of TLMs.

Gender Equality- SDG 5

At Roop Automotives, we firmly believe that a society is as empowered as its women are. Hence, we promote community development through women empowerment. We work with women from backward rural communities and provide them financial literacy and empower them by creating awareness related to health, hygiene and women rights. We also support the women, in developing entrepreneurial attitude.

With program like Mahila Panchayat and Nari Ki choupal these underprivileged women get opportunity to raise their voice against the women rights and also feel strengthened with the support of different women colleagues. Such forums also provide platform for women to discuss their sorrow and joy among themselves and strengthens the bond in them.

Climate Action- SDG 13

A green and clean environment is conducive and necessary for improving societal productivity. Clean surroundings ensure reduction in loss of productive man hours by reducing diseases, epidemic outbreaks and provides stability and reduced risk from natural calamities. Through our CSR initiative, we work with the communities in the vicinity of our area of operations in creating awareness regarding pollution, water conservation, cleanliness etc through our regular campaigns and drives. We also promote plantation in the community.

Roop VK Jain Foundation since its inception has been working towards improving quality education in the government schools by improving physical infrastructure such as functional toilets, drinking water stations, solar power etc.; teacher training, monthly workbooks to students and establishing computer and science laboratories.

Roop VK Jain Foundation is enabling communities by empowering women in the area to become more independent and self-reliant by providing them functional literacy, creating awareness among women about issues such as women rights, gender based violence and providing basic skills of sewing and tailoring to make them financially independent.

Under Environment Sustainability, the Foundation is creating and leading campaigns against ‘Single Use Plastics’ improving & maintaining cleanliness around homes and villages, promoting plantation etc.
